Liars - Sisterworld
This album is just different. Weird? Depends on how you look at it. But to me, it has always just been different. In some tracks, they replace the guitars with vocals,  and vice versa.. it’s just done in a very interesting way. I really do enjoy this album once in a blue moon (actually, before today, I haven’t listened to it in 4 years).. This album has anything from those distorted vocal anthems, all the way to orchestral moments of catharsis. You may or may not like this album, but there is no denying how unique it is. I have listened to a few other albums by Liars, but this album has always been my preferred. It’s got dragging lyrics, rhythmic bass lines, and infectious hooks.
I don’t want to call this album ‘creepy’, just interesting and different.
Some of these songs aren’t in ‘perfect’ organization, meaning they may or may not have a ‘verse, chorus, verse, chorus’ layout. It seems like they just put a demented story into sounds and tied in these strange, enticing lyrics. I think it’s a really pleasant album and it’s just different (I know I keep emphasizing that, but it is!)
